IN THIS LESSON
Career development depends not only on good decisions, but also on the resources that make progress possible–and the obstacles that can derail plans if left unaddressed. In this chapter, you will map the resources you can actively build and leverage, understand how they interact in positive (or negative) spirals, and develop a practical approach for identifying barriers early and responding with targeted strategies.
Career SWOT analysis
By conducting a SWOT analysis for your career, you evaluate your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. This exercise aims to provide a comprehensive picture of your career prospects by analyzing internal (strengths and weaknesses) and external (opportunities and threats) factors. The benefit of this method is that it allows you to strategically rethink your career by leveraging your strengths, addressing your weaknesses, seizing opportunities, and mitigating potential risks.
